Age 88, passed away on Sunday evening, June 12, 2022, surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Kalamazoo, on April 15, 1934, the daughter of William and Mildred (Bigelow) Cudahy. Mary graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1952. She retired in July,1999, after 20 years of service, in the customer service department of James River. Prior to that she worked at Kalamazoo College for 10 years. Mary enjoyed meeting friends for breakfast and lunch. She played Bunco monthly. Before the pandemic hit, she was volunteering two days a week at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She loved to “people watch”. Mary was very proud of her independence and lived on her own until the time of her death. Mary is survived by her only son, Don (Kathie) Resh of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Heather (Glenn) Harding, Eric Resh and Craig (Samantha Kohl) Resh, great grandson, Seth Harding. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter Janet, with whom she is now holding hands again. Mary’s family would like to express special thanks to her very special friend Emery, with whom she shared ‘date night’ with every Saturday for over 20 years.
