A committal service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park, South, 3941 S. Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo. All of Mike’s family and friends are invited. Memorial contributions may be given to Centrica Care Navigators, in c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 76, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024. Mike was born in Muskegon, on March 2, 1948, the son of Arthur and Palmyra (Falbe) Rogers. On August 19, 1967, he married Marsha Noordhof who survives him. Mike enjoyed golfing and fishing. He loved being out on his boat on Austin Lake looking for the big ones. He made annual trips to Canada with his brothers in law to go fishing. He was a long-time season ticket holder for the K-Wings. He also was a fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Tigers and Lions. Besides his wife, Mike is survived by his children, Michelle (William) Kinney, Mark Rogers, Matthew Rogers; brother, David (Cheryl) Rogers; his brothers and sisters in law, Sharon (Jere) Chandler, Pamela (Jack) Gunsolley, Gary (Olga) Noordhof; and several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; and his mother and father-in-law, Ira and June Noordhof; stepmother-in-law, Barbara Noordhof; brother-in-law, Jay (Dana) Noordhof.
In so many ways Mike was a wonderful person to many of us. I will keep Mike in my heart forever and I am so grateful he is no longer in such great pain. I have known Mike since we joined Wolf Lake Methodist Church together at age twelve and I have great memories of him. Mike has always been kind to me. Pamela Noordhof 💪🏼
