Michael Cronin
September 23, 1944 – July 4, 2025
Family and friends will be received at 10 a.m. for visitation with the funeral starting at 11 am Friday July 11, 2025 at Calvary Bible Church, 855 S. Drake Rd Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Luncheon at the church to follow. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Bible Church.
Obituary
Michael went to his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday afternoon, July 4, 2025. He had been a resident of Oakview Terrace. Michael was born on September 23, 1944 in Ismailia, Egypt, the son of Ernest and Ida (Hemingway) Cronin
He attended boarding schools in South Africa before coming to the United States in 1962. He graduated from Loy Norrix High School and then received a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He worked for Upjohn/Pfizer as a mechanical engineer for 34 years. He was skilled in all of the building trades and an excellent woodworker. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church.
On March 2, 1968 Michael was united in marriage to Joanne (Mejeur) Cronin who survives. Also surviving are a son, Scott Denis Cronin; two brothers, Roger (Mary Ann) Cronin, Paul (Judy) Cronin; sister, Jill (Karl) McKinstry; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Mejeur, Susan Cronin; many nieces & nephews; caregiver, Dawn Hobson; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Michelle Angela Cronin; and brother, Patrick Cronin.

Joanne sorry to to hear about Mike he is with the Lord Mike has been an inspiration as a woodworker and camping friend,we have been to many wood working shows around the state. Bruce & Joy
