Obituary
Age 80, passed away Sunday afternoon October 22, 2023. Mike was born in Hancock County, OH, on May 18, 1943, the son William Lewis and Marjorie Joan (Williams) Densham. On July 27, 1991, in Crane Park he married Frances Baker who survives him. Mike was an avid pilot. Whenever the sky was blue he would say, “It’s a beautiful day to fly.” He had learned to fly while he was stationed in Alaska as a part of the U.S. Army, in which he was proud to serve. Mike was a long-standing career insurance agent in the area. He loved his John Deere tractor. Mike also enjoyed music, especially singing in church choirs. Mike was devoted to his Savior and Lord. His faith and family were most important to him. Besides his wife, Mike is survived by his children Jennifer (Steve) Henkel, Clinton (Deborah) Densham, John (Cathleen) Hoogenboom, Lorie (David) Cook, Elizabeth (Eric) Fenstermaker, Shelley (Roberts) Kengis; grandchildren, Alyssa, Adrienne, Ivan, Levi, Matthew, Lydia, Mary, William, Elijah, Ezekiel, Elliana, Ezra, Vija, Elanore; sister, Patricia (Gerald) Rintamaki; brothers, William (Terri) Densham, Mark (Sandy) Densham, Timothy (Tracy) Densham; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
I knew, and became a friend of Mike’s during Work Weeks at Gitche Gumee Bible Camp. He became a telephone, text and occasional “meet me for lunch” friend. Mike came to my place 3 times last winter to help overhaul the Camps Ford Tractor. Through “rubbing shoulders” with Mike, I came to appreciate him and have a real love as a Christian Brother for him. I’ll miss him greatly. I offer my deepest condolences to the family, he was a great man. Gary
My prayers and special thoughts are sent to Fran, Beth, Shelley, and the entire family. He was a special person who was very kind. He was married to my special friend, Fran, and was a wonderful gift to her. I’m sorry I had to miss the service but i want you to know I was there in spirit. Love, Nancy
