Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Humane Society or a charity of one’s choice.
Obituary
Age 60, passed away at his home on June 12, 2020. Michael was born in Kalamazoo on July 7, 1959, the son of the late Jack F. and Dora A. (Otten) Sulka. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sheree D. (McLain) Sulka on September 29, 2015. Michael is survived by five siblings, John Sulka, Diane Sulka, Steve Sulka, Tom (Susie) Sulka and Sue Evans; nieces and nephews, Christopher and Alex Sulka, Jennifer, Danny (Kristina) and Sarah Houser, Katelyn and Madison Sulka and Scott Sulka; as well as one great-niece.
What a wonderful man. I knew Mike for the past 30 years. His late wife was also a gem. What a kind, beautiful heart. He was ill for so many years. He loved Godzilla movies and he gave me a toy of Godzilla that actually shrieked. I will miss him. John Hunt
