In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. There will be no visitation or service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or the Park Village Pines, c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 91, passed away at Oakview Terrace on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Myra was born in Kalamazoo on May 13, 1926, the daughter of the late Wayne and Margaret (Page) Phetteplace. She was married to Anthony Lemmer who preceded her in passing. She was also preceded in passing by her second husband, David Firestone, as well as her son, Richard Henry Lemmer; and brothers, Richard and James Phetteplace. Myra volunteered for The Michigan Heart Association, The American Red Cross as a CPR instructor and the Portage Civil Defense Unit. She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Susan (Howard) Harden, Nancy Burchette, Chris (Lolita) Lemmer, Scott (Lynn) Lemmer; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Doris Zito, Peggy Cunningham and Janet Giambrone.
