Age 68, passed away at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence on Monday, March 16, 2020. Pat, or Patti as she was known growing up, was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 26, 1951, the daughter of the late David M. and Kathryn M. (Goodman) Coffey. She was a loving and generous person with an infectious laugh that could brighten anyone’s day. Her children and grandchildren were always the center of her world. Pat made caring for and raising children her life’s work. Even before she had children of her own, Pat babysat her nieces and nephews and took care of others’ children. She ran a home daycare when her children were young and then transitioned to nannying after they were grown. Pat truly had a gift with children, and in that way, has touched the lives of many over the years. Her home was always warm and inviting. A place to relax and talk over a cup of coffee, which she did often with her family and friends. Pat is survived by her life-partner, Deb Brown; children, Katie (Adam) Aulbach, Kristin Coffey and Justin (Victoria Kosowicz) Coffey; grandchildren, Viktor, Dannyn, Henry and Will; sisters, Dawn (Carl) McHolland and Lori (Bruce) Sova; brother in-law, David Barnhart and several nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her sister, Gayle Barnhart and niece, Michele Chappel.
