Obituary
Pauline Sue Harger age 86 of Kalamazoo, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026. Pauline was born in Comstock, MI on January 1, 1940, the daughter of Jacob Ryan and Jennie J. (Mulder) VanDyke. Having lived in a lake house for over 40 years, Pauline loved watching sunrises and sunsets. Pauline loved going to Indiana to visit Shipshewana and the outlet stores. She could always find a deal. She had a way of lighting up a room when she came in. She had a beautiful smile. Even though she had a lot of adversity in her life, she always had a positive attitude. She always tried to make the best of things and looked for the good in every situation. Pauline is survived by her granddaughter, Chelsea (Markus Eberhard) Fulton; great granddaughter, Natelyn; great grandson, Grayson; and many friends. Pauline was preceded in death by her sons, Ronald Harger, Robert Harger; grandson Morrey Harger; her parents; a brother and a sister.

Pauline was my mother’s best friend and a great role model for me growing up. She will be sweetly remembered for her elegance and being a gracious lady. Love and miss you. I know we’ll all be reunited one day with our Lord. RIP Beautiful Pauline. Love always, Angie Smith Young
