Besides his wife, Pete is survived by his children, Canaan (Sarah) Groff of Grand Haven and Adrienne (Ryan) Berlin of Glendale, WI; grandchildren, Maxine Berlin, Eli Berlin, William Groff; and another grandchild on the way; father, William Groff; siblings, Michael (Laurie) Groff, Jane (Myron) Rand; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Pete and I were friends from out Freshman year at Western Michigan University. Fond memories of our football games, frisbee throwing, dinners at the Davis St house on Sunday’s! Pete and I went to Canada on a trip and we carried everything in our backs and enjoyed meeting new people and seeing Canada. Great memories. Sending prayers to his family and friends. ❤️🙏
What a gentleman Pete was. Always a smile, never an argument. I hope he truly enjoyed life as much as he seemed to and enjoys the afterlife just as much. He sure deserves it. He was a great friend who I entrusted my ’58 T-Bird to. I’m sure he respected, cherished and took care of that car in the same vein as he did his family and the many friends he cultivated throughout his life. I will truly miss being able to share his great company, the enjoyment he seemed to bring to everything.
Pete married my dear friend Holly . Please except my deepest sympathies for your family. I am praying for peace and comfort for you all.
Pete was one of the best! He lived his life the way he wanted to and was a kind soul. He was a mentor to all and will be dearly missed.
