Obituary
Age 73, passed away Monday morning, December 19, 2022. Ray was born in on January 11, 1949, the son of Joe and Betty (Hartung) Cook. On December 30, 1989, he married Carla Dreger who survives him. Ray loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was an avid woodworker. Ray proudly served his nation in the U. S. Army and served one tour in Viet Nam. Besides his wife, Ray is survived by his children, Sera Gordon of Ft. Erie, ON, Mick (Angie) Enders of Portage, Eric (Lindsey) Enders of Portage; five grandchildren; siblings, Debbie (Dan) Snyder, Douglas (Stacey) Cook, Joseph (Kristi) Cook, Jamie Stevens; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Tom Cook.
We will always remember Ray’s snickering laugh, like he was up to no good. You could always count on Ray if you needed help with something. He did many drywall projects for family and never expected anything in return. He had a generous and gentle heart. I remember spending fun weekends over the Christmas Holiday and summer with Carla and Ray at their Cabin in Gaylord. Ray was a true American hero who served his country proudly in the Vietnam war. Ray was a good brother and will always be in our hearts and memories.
