Obituary
Age 66, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019, with family at his side. Ray was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on April 19, 1953, the son of the late Irving and Lucille (Koss) Blett. He served our country honorably as a member of the U.S. Air Force. Ray was a kind and generous man. He loved helping and caring for others in any way that he could. He enjoyed spending time in his garden, working on vehicles and woodworking. Above all Ray loved his family and did his best to provide for them. He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Raymond Matthew (Michele) Blett, Melanie Mathis and Jeremy (Julie) Hager; grandchildren, Kaylee and Austin Blett, Stephanie Sutton, Cody Hounshell, Kyle (Sara) Hounshell, Brandon Hounshell, Alyssa Mathis, Dana Marie, Kaden, Camden and Maddison Hager; many other extended grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his loving partner Karen Eagle; a brother, Larry Blett; nieces, nephews and friends. Ray was also preceded in passing by many siblings.
I’m very saddened to hear of Ray passing. I dated him in 1970 before meeting and marrying his cousin, Dave Blett In 1971. We didn’t see a whole lot of Ray after I married Dave, but I remember what a decent, loving, & funny guy he was. Rest In Peace Raymond. I’m sure you’ve already met up with your cousin in Heaven by now ????
