A Celebration of Dick’s life will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to Twelve Baskets or Gobles Public Schools Foundation, in c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 77 of Gobles passed away Thursday night, December 4, 2025. Dick was born in Battle Creek on November 1, 1948, the son of William and Lorraine (Lane) Misiasz. On June 7, 1980, he married Rhonda Ryan who survives him. Dick was an outdoorsman. He loved being outside with his dog and hunting. He also enjoyed gardening and being on his tractor. Nothing was more important to him than his family. Besides his wife, Dick is survived by his children, Meaghan (Abid Khan) Misiasz and Matthew (Jacqueline) Misiasz; grandchildren, Layth Khan, Myza Khan, Giovanni Misiasz, Rosaleigh Misiasz, and Deangelo Misiasz; sister, Mary Beth (Scott) Nintzel; nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mitch Misiasz; three brothers; and his special four-legged friend, Fudge.
Rhonda and family, my heart is broken. Dick was such a sweet man. What blessing it was to get to know him. Rhonda, I love you so much. I am so incredibly sorry for you and your families loss. I’m so happy your grandchildren were able to know such joy from their grandfather and grandmother.
Rhonda, I can’t express how saddened I am at Dicks passing. I will miss his stories, his tours of the garden he took such pride in, and his infectious smile. He was a truly good man. Al and I hope you and your family find some little comfort in knowing how much he meant to so many.
