Robert \"Bob\" Riggs

A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at Oakwood Bible Church, 4100 Oakland Drive, Kalamazoo. Friends may greet the family prior to the service beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to CRU (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) at www.give.cru.org/0661140.
Obituary
Age 92, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 20, 2019. Bob was born on January 5, 1927, in Three Rivers. He was a proud WW II Army veteran who served in Europe. He was a meat cutter by trade and was the owner of Butcher Bob’s. He served the Lord faithfully for over 50 years at Oakwood Bible Church. He was a loving father to Lon (Diane) Huffman, Steve (Dianne) Riggs, Pam (Warren) Logan; Grandpa to six grandchildren; Great-Grandpa to eleven; and Uncle Bob to his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Eleanor (Munk) Riggs, his parents and all seven siblings.
Just read in the Kalamazoo Paper that my classmate passed….Have a group picture of us when we were in kindergarten at fourth ward school…I graduated with Bob and will miss him at our annual reunion in August at Fisher Lake Inn. Rest in peace, Bob.

My heart goes out to the family, what a wonderful man your Dad was. Will be forever grateful for the help and kindness he showed my Dad. Taking him to lunch every week, while my dad lived with us, giving me a much needed hour to myself. An awesome neighbor and friend. You will be certainly missed from this world. Rest in peace Bob for you our surely with our Lord.
