In accordance with his wish, cremation will take place and a celebration of his life will be held at Grace Harbor Church (811 Gorham Lane) on January 19, 2020 from 3-6 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 57, passed away on January 1, 2020, at Rose Arbor with family at his side. He was born in Kalamazoo on July 3, 1962, the son of Donald and Rosalie (Andrysiak) Philipp. Robert was a nice guy. He was always willing to help others and was a friend to those around him. He was a hard worker and always found ways to stay active. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. He was always proud of his home-grown tomatoes and enjoyed canning and sharing them with others. He took time to go camping and made special memories during his outings. He loved fireworks and celebrating his birthday during July. Robert loved his family and friends and will be missed. On February 11, 1985, he married Angela Philipp who survives. He is also survived by four children, Crystal (Roy) Parish, Nicholas (Jeannie) Philipp, Timothy Philipp, Samantha (Keith) Moore; eight grandchildren; his parents; four siblings, Christopher (Leslie) Philipp, Jeffrey (Pamela) Philipp, Anne Marie DeGrace, Gerald (Deborah) Philipp; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Rosalie and Donald, Know you are in my thoughts and prayers. May Robert rest in peace.
