Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home. A private family interment will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery, North. Memorial Contributions may be made to charity of one’s choice, in c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Robert E. Rewalt age 94 of Kalamazoo, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026, at home. Robert was born on January 21, 1932, in Cadillac the son of Elmer and Grace (Morgan) Rewalt. He was a graduate of Allegan High School and DeVry Technical Institute. Robert was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired from the Kalamazoo Public Schools in 1994 after 32 years as an electronics technician and he owned his own TV repair business for many years. Robert was an avid golfer and bowler; he had two holes in one and a lot of trophies in each sport. On January 26, 1968, in Kalamazoo, Robert was united in marriage to Patricia (Mosher) Rewalt who survives. Also surviving are two sons, David (Kathy), Jeff (Teri); three grandchildren, Amberly, Tyler, Sarah; three great-grandchildren, Reed, Owen, Charlie; one brother, Merle (Sue) Rewalt; one sister, Joan Bass; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Stanley Rewalt.
When I think of Bob of course bowling but mostly of all his jokes. The love between Bob and Trish was special, Trish would bake a cake for Bob each week. My deep condolences to Trish and the family.
