Robert (Bob) Earl Skinner was born April 18, 1941, in Kalamazoo, MI, to the late Lena and Carlin Skinner. He passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Barbara Skinner, his brother Jim (Judy) Skinner, his children Rhonda (Allen) Breon, Rick Skinner, Melanie (Scott) Krieg, and Heidi (Jim) Laser, his grandchildren Andrea, Matthew, Katie, Heather, Caroline, Bram, Ben, and Mackenzie, and his great-grandchildren Clark and Luke. He was preceded in death by his sister Judy Skinner and his sons Mike Skinner and Jeff Sternburgh.

Bob lived a life on the go and full of adventure. Enjoying camping, boating, snowmobiling, hunting, flying airplanes, and even fishing on the Amazon River. Once upon a time, he was the top of a ski pyramid at the Weeki Wachee Show in Florida. He had an ability to spin a good tale and to this day, none are sure if the aforementioned ski pyramid situation ever truly did occur. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and become quick friends, and this personality trait made his career as a small business owner selling airplanes and later as a boat salesman the perfect fit.

One hobby that Bob really enjoyed was going to the gun range. He was a sharp-shooter with several trophies to prove it.

In his later years, Bob could not be active and often dreamed of obtaining a puppy but instead settled for his golf cart rides to visit surrounding neighbors to feed their puppies treats. He enjoyed playing dominoes and having some heated games of Uno. One of his favorite activities was watching his bird feeder from his beloved chair.
