Obituary
Age 59, passed away on August 12, 2020. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Lloyd and Marian (Gort) Bekkering. Ronald had a warm smile and gentle personality. He was outgoing and made friends easily. He worked hard as an automotive mechanic. When not working he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Ron was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren and was especially honored to be a “Military Dad,” having two sons who served. Ronald was united in marriage to Kathy Jo (Knoper) Bekkering on May 15, 1982. She preceded him in passing on February 2, 1998. Ronald’s memory will be cherished by all who loved him. He is survived by five children, Josh (Katie), Curtis (Michelle), Cody (Meg), Zach (Kaytlen) and Austin (Bailey) Bekkering; grandchildren, Raegan, Ryan, Charlotte, Clayton, Kathryn, Kyle, Merrick; four brothers and his parents.
My heart is breaking for the hurt and loss the whole Bekkering family is going through. I am sorry for your loss.
Ron was a wonderful neighbor and friend to my dad. He will be very missed. Prayers to his children and family and friends.
