Age 56, passed away early Thursday morning, April 15, 2021. Scott was born in Grand Rapids, on March 30, 1965, the son of Dale and Sue (Bolle) Wierenga. On February 2, 1991, he married the love of his life Caren who he met on a hot July Saturday in 1988, and who survives him.  Scott graduated from Schoolcraft High School and attended Adrian College. He received a Bachelors in Business Management from Kalamazoo Valley Community College, where he was on the dean\'s list. He was an Eagle Scout, a designation of which he was very proud. He was employed by Germano Management Company, where he started as a maintenance person and rose to become the CEO. He was the first person to receive tandem stem cell transplants at the University of Michigan Medical Center. As a loving dad, Scott was a coach for his sons’ little league team. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael (Kasey) DeBat of Livonia, CariElin (Brad) Biland of Mattawan, and Gregory (Bridget) Wierenga of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Avery, Audrey, Sara, Alan, Alaina, Adrian, and Lincoln, with another baby boy due shortly; his parents, Dale and Sue Wierenga; sisters, Mary (Dave) Bailey and Anne Wierenga; brother, Mike (Jamie) Wierenga; sisters-in-law, Sheri (Dave) Shon, Marcia (David) Miyagawa, brothers-in-law, David (Cheryl) Nieuwenhuis, Mark (Brittany) Nieuwenhuis; many, many nieces and nephews; and countless friends.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Wierenga and his mother and father-in-law, William and Eleanor Nieuwenhuis.
