Sharon Virginia Bowers age 95 of Galesburg, passed away Wednesday morning, October 14, 2026. Sharon was born in Battle Creek on August 4, 1931, the daughter of Vernon and Glenora (Garlick) Eldridge. She was married to Theodore James Bowers who preceded her in death in 2008. Sharon loved music and enjoyed going dancing. For many years she worked for Kalamazoo County as a poll worker during elections. She left an indelible impression on her grandchildren on the importance of voting. Sharon had a lot of energy and was never known to sit back and relax. She enjoyed working, even into her nineties. Her family was very important to her and she loved them all very much. She will be deeply missed. Sharon is survived by her daughters, Sherry Bowers and Nancy (Charles) Windschell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Besides her husband, Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Teddy James Bowers, Jamie Lee Bowers; daughters, Beth Bowers and Jodie Bowers.
