Obituary
Age 74 of Portage, passed away on Saturday morning, January 4, 2025. Steve was born in Gadsden, AL, on November 30, 1960, son of Marvin and Ruth (Burchfield) Pruitt. Steve is survived by his son, Tony Pruitt; daughter, Deanna Palumbo; sisters, Freida Craig and Pam Hamilton; brother, Marc Pruitt; nieces and nephews and many friends.
Miss you dad. I know you and Rex will be watching over me.
So sad to here of Steve’s passing. Met him in college and worked with him at Pepsi in Kazoo. He was easily likable and as honest as they come. Steve was one hell of a good man.
Bill and I have known Steve since our kids were in first grade and our kids became friends. Steve was a Wonderful baseball coach and football couch he was not only our friend but him and Tony became family to us. Steve was such a wonderful sweet caring loving man he was one of the strongest men I knew his heart was so big and so full of love for everyone especially for his son Tony he Loved him so much. We will miss you so much Steve. And I’ll always check on our Sweet Tony like I promised you. Love and Miss you Steve.
