Age 70, passed away very unexpectedly to be with our Lord on August 1, 2018. He was born December 9, 1947, the son of the late Charles and Evelyn (Ferner) Bird of Wyoming. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Bird and brothers, Jim and Tim Bird. He is survived by his son, Steve Bird; brother, Richard Bird; grandchildren, Steve K. Bird, II and Alex White; and several nieces and nephews. Steve also shared the last 24 years of his life with his girlfriend, Maija Jirgens. Steve lived his life the way he wanted and with no regrets. He shared his big heart with the ones that were the closest to him. He was a man of actions over words, was kind hearted and generous to a fault. All who knew and counted on him are both grateful to have known him and broken-hearted to have lost him. Steve, an earthly treasure, seems lost to us but is now in heaven. With never ending gratitude, we wish you eternal peace Steve, until we meet again. We love you Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
