Tango Shingledecker, age 48, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in Kalamazoo. She was born on September 20, 1971 in Allegan, Michigan and was the second child in her family. Tango was a loving and caring person who always thought about her family. She always accepted people into her life and her home. Tango readily welcomed others to take shelter within her home. She had a deep love of cats, children and family and had a passion for taking care of others to the best of her ability. She cherished the holidays with her brother Ric and his family, often staying the night or weekends with them. She had a special relationship with her brother Scott Shingledecker. Tango and Scott were very close even when apart. Tango’s niece Destinie built a special bond with Tango the past year; the two of them became very close. Tango was a very trusting person and believed the best of all people. She was an independent, strong woman with a heart of gold. Tango touched the hearts of anyone with whom she came in contact and was a very special, loved woman. She will be deeply missed by her family. Tango leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Pati (Don) LaRowe of Fort Wayne, Indiana, brothers Richard “Ric” (Marnie) Shingledecker of Chandler, Arizona, Scott Shingledecker of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Chad Shingledecker, Florida, sisters, Donna VanDusen and Londa Madison of Fort Wayne, Indiana, special niece, Destinie Shingledecker and her Grandmother Betty Shingledecker, both of Plainwell, Michigan, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
