The family is planning a memorial event at a later time, when it is safe for us to all be together again. He will be laid to rest at Ft Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association, c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 58, passed away May 21, 2020. Tom was born in Port Huron, MI, on February 26, 1962, the son of Maitland Leroy and Margaret Ann (Paradise) Doyle On February 17, 2006, he married Nancy Ann Webster who survives him. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Besides his wife, Nancy, he is survived by his step-children, Stephanie (Mike) Ultz of Sturgis, Ashley Curtis of Kalamazoo, Tyler (Megan) Curtis of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Hailey, Zoey, Levi, Payton, Layla, Carter, Isabella, Hunter, and Brooklyn; sister, Kathy (Fred) Van Allstine, brother, Chris (Sue) Doyle; sisters in law, Deb Doyle and Robin Doyle; many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Paige Lynn Curtis; and brothers, Tim Doyle and Steve Doyle.
Tom was so much more than a brother to us. He was a lifelong friend. The greatest uncle our blended family could ask for. He helped with numerous athletic pursuits for all of us, he joined us for many family events. He was the greatest Cedar Point companion, always the life of the party. He even served as our wedding photographer. What a great brother-in-law and friend when he and Susan both worked at Stryker Instruments. Tom was assistant football, baseball and track coach with Chris and an amazing statistician. We loved hearing his stories of his numerous snowmobiling adventures in northern Michigan. We were thrilled the day he told us he met the love of his life, Nancy. We enjoyed great visits with them. Rest easy sweet brother, Tom. You will be missed but forever in our hearts.
Tom’s memory and spirit will always be there waiting for you in your dark and lonely times. He was a good man and will be so missed by many. He was too young to go ,but we don’t get to pick. God bless you and keep you. Prayers always. Love, Kathy and Fred
