A service to commemorate Todd’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Road, Kalamazoo, with Pastor Fred De Young officiating. Friends will be able to greet the family following the service. Memorials may be made to a fund being established for Tristan’s well-being and education., c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Age 44, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 7, 2019. Todd was born on August 9, 1975, in Kalamazoo, the son of Steven Marshall and Renee (Altom) Garmire. Todd will be remembered as a kind, loving person. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. He was a wonderful father, and a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. Todd is survived by a son, Tristan Marshall Garmire; his parents, Steve and Renee Garmire; sister, Stephanie (Greg) Butler of Kalamazoo; niece and nephew, Kassidy and Logan Butler; grandmother, Jackie Altom of Kalamazoo; grandfather, Ernest Marshall Garmire of Kalamazoo; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Rosie Garmire; a grandfather, John Altom; and a cousin, Joshua Hemry.
Praying peace and comfort over Tristan, the Garmire, and Butler family as you deal with Todd’s loss. Love you all!
Sorry to hear Todd’s passing I remember him riding his little Yamaha 50 around the land having campfires sad very sad I will say a prayer for the family, Uncle Bill

I will always remember the fun we had at the Kalamazoo county fair every year and our summers riding horses as a Cooper Cavalier. Todd was a great horseman and I’m sorry he was taken too early. Thinking of his family in this time of sorrow. Jen Bear Halsall
