Virginia Marie Rantz, age 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, September 16, 2019, at Sue’s Loving Care surrounded by her family. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on April 11, 1942, the daughter of the late Wallace and Helen (Salpatrick) Fitzsimmons. Virginia was a loving and kind woman who had a strong faith in the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dog’s. She worked for WMU for over ten years. She had a gifted knack for doing crafts and decorating her home. Virginia was a faithful member of Texas Corners Bible Church where her warm smile will be missed on Sundays. Virginia will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by three children, Marie Powell, Donald (Kelly) Rantz, Matthew (Christine) Rantz; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; six siblings, Beverly Stewart, Victor Fitzsimmons, Bill Fitzsimmons, Karen Deau, Mary Thompson and Scott Stanley; long-time spouse, David Rantz; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in passing by two brothers, Jim and Donald Fitzsimmons.
