The family is planning a memorial service when it is safe to be together again. Their desire is that everyone stay safe and healthy. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Michigan, c/o the funeral home.
Obituary
Went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Wanda was born in Kalamazoo, on December 2, 1932, the daughter of Clarence and Pearl (White) Snyder. She was married to Delmar “Gene” E. Gibbons, who preceded her in death in 2016. While Gene was a resident at Alamo Nursing Home, she got into the habit of visiting him three times a week. After he passed away, she continued her visits to the nursing home to bring joy and happiness to the other patients there. She continued to do this until she became ill in March. She loved sharing her faith in Jesus right up until he called her home. Wanda is survived by her daughters, Barbara (John) Mohney, Debra (David) Farrow, Sharon Gibbons and Cathy “Kate” (Daniel) Harley; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Shirley Gibbons, 4 grandsons, and a sister.
We are so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person. Her visits and treats were always so special.

I am sorry for your loss. My mom went into Alamo Nursing Home in 2015, and was there until she passed away in 2018. After I retired in 2016 I was able to go see my mom more often, and I got to know Wanda a lot more. She was a wonderful Christian lady, and shared the gospel all the time. I started volunteering at the nursing after my mom passed away. My mom’s favorite activity at the nursing home was the church service on Saturday mornings. I really enjoyed volunteering with Wanda on Saturday mornings helping people into the activity room for the church service. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Joyce Trader

Really gonna miss you Momma. There are things that weren’t said in your obituary that I want to say about you, first you were a wonderful Woman and Mother, you loved to fish and hunt with Dad and You had the Greatest Talent for Painting they were all beautiful and from your Heart, I Have At Least 12 of your paintings hanging on my walls and they will forever remind Me of You. You touched the hearts of many and your Life Was A Witness To Our Lord and Savior.
