Age 61, passed away at home on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Abel was born in Kalamazoo on April 27, 1955; the son of the late Tomas and Asusana (Ramirez) Sanchez. He is survived by his sons, Abel “Carlos”, Jr., Santos “Xavian”, Dakotah “Spank” and Daestinne “Bit” Sanchez; grandchildren, Daquavian, Aaliyah, Anastasia and Arienna Sanchez; siblings, Enrique “Kiki” Sanchez, Myjou Sanchez, Nancy Liggins, twin-sister, Gloria (Bob) Foley, Joseph (Monica) Sanchez and Michael “Mark” Sanchez; special family friend, Michelle (Odie) Dancer; sisters in-law, Connie and Solvega Sanchez; step-sisters, Mary Lou and Diana; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Abel was the designated family comedian. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on cars. He was well-liked by all and was affectionately known as “Uncle Abel” by many.
