Anita will be laid to rest in a graveside service on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd., Augusta. Those wishing to attend should meet in the cortege assembly area at 1:15 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to Leukemia Research Foundation. The family is relying on Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight,” and Psalms 34:18,“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Anita Marie Lehr age 67, of Grand Junction passed away early Thursday morning May 14, 2026. Anita was born in Kalamazoo on January 30, 1959, the daughter of Harm Henry and Evelyn E. (Mearing) Kiewiet. On April 4, 2006, she married Leslie D. Lehr who survives her. Anita worked for many years at Bronson Methodist Hospital as Medical Records Manager. In her spare time she enjoyed horses, travel and being on the beach. Nothing was more important to her than her children. She was always the person they could rely on and their support system. They will remember her as being their best friend and best mom in the world. Besides her husband, Anita is survived by her children, Stacey (Kevyn Herbert) Foust and Corey (Kansadie) Lehr; grandchildren, Zarron, Kailah, Olivia, Hunter; great-grandson, Jaxon, with another great-grandchild to arrive shortly; and countless friends from all over the country. Anita was preceded in death by her mom and dad; her step-mom, Jean Kiewiet.
