Age 92, of Mattawan, passed away at her home on March 9, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Hastings, MI, on January 9, 1933, the daughter of the late Russell and Margaret (Brown) Hine. Ann was kind, gentle and loving. She grew up in Southwest Michigan and moved several times throughout her life. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School. In 1953 she married Glenn Sweet. The two would begin a family and would graciously open their home to foster children as well. Ann worked hard to provide a happy home where all were made to feel welcome. She had a keen eye for interior decorating, was a gifted seamstress and wonderful cook. Her heart and her home were always open to those in need including the pets she adored. Above all Ann loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warm smile, laughter and love will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by five children, Mary Zehner, Dale (Laura) Sweet, David (Michelle) Sweet, Glenda Jack and Timothy Sweet; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Holly (William) Sanders; sister-in-law, Helen Hine; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ann was preceded in passing by her former husbands, Glenn Sweet and Robert Hollister; a sister, Marie (Joseph) Daley; brother, Charles Hine and son-in-law, Gregory Zehner.
