PEDROLINI, Antony J.

Age 40, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, January 17, 2022, after a courageous battle with Ataxia Telangiectasia in his brain stem. Ataxia Telangiectasia in the brain stem is very rare, and is a neurodegenerative autosomal recessive disease, causing severe disability, from which there is little expectation of recovery. Tony was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on August 24, 1981, the eldest child of Tim and Wendy Pedrolini. He graduated with honors from Parchment High School, class of 1999, where he excelled in playing doubles tennis. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Davenport University. Tony was an avid cyclist and runner and participated in many events supporting Cystic Fibrosis research. During the time that he spent running, Tony excelled to the level of placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in many events that he entered. He loved competition. He also enjoyed bowling, playing wiffle ball, and playing many other sports. He was on a Tuesday night trio’s bowling team “Pedrolini Inc.” with his dad and brother and together they placed 1st in the league. Some of his favorite past-times included fishing with his grandpa George, and camping with his best friend, Bobbo. Tony loved watching NFL games and University of Michigan football, along with the Detroit Tigers. He was an outdoor enthusiast, especially when it came to hiking and trail running. Tony shared a special relationship with his nephews and spoiled them with neat gifts. During high school, he took a job with Mulder Waterproofing and found a home there for many years until he took on a supervisory role with Med-Bio where he worked until his disability no longer allowed him to. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Wendy; sister, Kori (Nick) Monaweck; brother, Anzio Pedrolini; nephews, Collin, Isaac and Elliott Monaweck; grandmother, Kay Taylor; uncles, Gary Pedrolini, Mike (Blaze) Raber and Kevin Raber; aunts, Pam (Ken) Smith and Meghan Taylor; cousins, Kayla Pedrolini, Rosalea (Peter) Mann, John Pedrolini, Kati, Kelli and Parnell (Brandi) Smith, Kaydee Froberg and Dustin Hall; best friends, Robert “Bobbo” (Samantha) Maidment and Paul (Amy) Melwiki; as well as extended family from Connecticut. Tony loved his animals and leaves behind his very special feline companion, Romeo. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Ruth Pedrolini, Ed Taylor, and his aunt, Debra Pedrolini.
