A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 p.m. noon and a luncheon will be served immediately after the service. Ardis will be laid to rest with Tom at a private interment at Mr. Ever Rest Memorial Park, South. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society; c/o the funeral home.

Age 93 of Vicksburg passed away on March 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Ardis was born in Texas Township, Kalamazoo County on October 13, 1931, the daughter of Harry Vernon and Helen Mae (Dunn) Munson. On August 27, 1949, she married Thomas Henry Ivens who preceded her in death. Ardis is survived by her children, Gayle Penar, Thomas (Bonnie) Ivens, Ronald (Christine) Ivens; grandchildren: Stephanie Dunnick, Angela Griffin, Jack Griffin, Rodney Ivens, Tori Monroe, Mandy Slusher, Melissa Snyder, Shaina Ivens and Joshua Ivens; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Ardis was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Lorraine, Alice and Gene and son-in-law,Vincent Penar.
