Age 85, passed away on January 20, 2024, at Centrica Rose Arbor Place. She was born in Kalamazoo on November 24, 1938, the daughter of Ralph and Aleida (Love) Sweitzer. Ardith graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School not knowing she was in class with her future husband. She would remain a lifelong resident of the southwest Michigan area and was proud to raise her family here. Ardith was kind, loving and gentle. She was a gifted quilter and was a member of the Island City Quilters for several years. She also enjoyed reading and spending time in her flower gardens. Ardith had a delightful personality and loved hosting special occasions at her home. Her heart and door were always open to those in need and there was never a stranger at her Thanksgiving table. She was well-known for the cookies she baked, especially at Christmas time.  Ardith was a dog lover and thoroughly enjoyed having four-legged visitors. When not taking care of her family she enjoyed traveling and made many memorable trips with her husband Ken and children to Hawaii. She had a strong faith in the Lord, was a member of the Otsego Church of God where she took time to volunteer in the kitchen. In her later years she moved to Friendship Village where she made several new friends. Above all Ardith loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. On May 2, 1958, she married the love of her life Kenneth Worsham who survives. She is also survived by three children, Steve (Louise) Worsham, Wendy Worsham-Whittle, Tim (Shirl) Worsham; grandchildren, Ellen (Jason) Blasing, Ashley Worsham, Stacie (Jeremy) Hodge, Forrest Whittle; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Lewis and Alan (Barbara) Sweitzer; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in passing by an infant brother, Glen Sweitzer and a sister-in-law, Betty Sweitzer, who was like a sister to her.
