Age 75, passed away on November 29, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Paw Paw, on November 2, 1942, the daughter of the late Vern and Doris Saxton. Maxine had a wonderful laugh and was a joy to be around. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be missed. She loved collecting anything with a strawberry on it and also angels. She enjoyed being outdoors especially in the fall and spring. One of her favorite pastimes was going for a Sunday drive to anywhere. She also enjoyed stock car races and taking long bike rides with her children. Above all, Maxine loved her family and was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind many special memories that will be cherished for years to come. On October 28, 1961, she married Norman G. Barker who survives. She is also survived by two children, Jeff Barker, Lorri (Kevin) Bradley; three grandchildren, Amber Skiba, Dustin (Samantha) Barker, Ashley Bradley; three step-grandchildren, Sara Bradley, Kristin (Billy) Taylor, Stephanie Bradley; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Pfannes; a brother Carl Saxton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was also preceded in passing by three siblings, Arden Saxton, Virgil Saxton and Geraldine Schoudt.
