In accordance with Audrey's wishes cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest privately with her husband at Schoolcraft Cemetery. A memorial service may be held at a later date.

Age 97, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017. She was born in Kalamazoo on February 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Walter and Hazel (Wriglesworth) Nesbitt. She received her BA from WMU and enjoyed being a kindergarten teacher at Green Meadow Elementary School for many years. Audrey was very active and involved in many organizations. She was President of the Kalamazoo Lawyers’ Auxiliary, Michigan Lawyers’ Auxiliary also the American Lawyers’ Auxiliary where she received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Due to her interest in children Audrey became an active member of the Law Related Education Committee which created the You And The Law Book. In addition she founded The Late Show, a reading program at the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home. On April 22, 1943, she married Llewellyn W. Gray who preceded her in passing on December 28, 2000. Audrey loved her family and her friends and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by three daughters, Susan (Bob) Moffitt, Deborah (Al) Gray and Gretchen (James Hal) Shannon; five grandchildren, Shawn, Scott, J.R., James Hal Jr. and Dallas and many great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in passing by a sister, Wanda Beatty.
