She was the best mother in law and friend to me. I will always remember her for her love, energy and kindness. I will miss all the phone conversations, board games and dinners with her. She was such a blessing to me and so many others. Sending thoughts and prayers to all her family and friends who loved her.

We reunited at my sister’s (Nanette Hill Bowman) funeral in Vicksburg in May, 2012. Barbara lived with my family on the farm in Vicksburg for a couple years taking care of us 2 sisters while my mom worked and my dad farmed. That was back in 1952-54, when I was about 8 years old. I loved her like my surrogate mom. I always loved her and always will. She was an amazing person, very kind and generous. I will never forget her.
