Cremation has taken place; there will be a memorial to celebrate and honor her life in the spring of 2023. Friends and family may share a condolence message online at www.joldersma-kelin.com. In lieu of flowers, consider contributions to Ascension Borgess - Tree of Love, which provides free mammograms to women who cannot afford them, c/o the funeral home.

Memories of Barb include good food and celebration and what a beautiful way to be remembered . We consider ourselves very grateful to be included in more than one gathering with Barb and Jim and besides the great food there was a warm comfort in just being with Barb. One such gathering was for a tailgate at a Michigan State game with Jim bringing his grill loaded up in the red minivan for the trip to MSU! It sure made the food taste better and enticed some hungry college students including one who offered “Hugs all around” in exchange for a sample of what Barb was cooking! It still makes me smile when I think about it and that is the gift of Barb’s life and her ability to gather friends and family together to share a wonderful meal or a special treat made with love. She was wonderful.

Jim and Family - I am am saddened to learn of Barb’s passing. She left this earth much too young, but her spirit will always live within you and those who knew and loved her. May her memory be a blessing.

Barb made the prettiest cupcakes for Gavin and Macy. They tasted amazing and were also works of art. Her shortbread was nothing I’d ever tasted before. Heavenly. I will always remember enjoying a summer fire with neighbors, and Barb talking about chocolate covered bacon. That next day, Barb introduced me to the Kalamazoo Market, and we bought chocolate covered bacon. Thank you Barb for broadening my horizons. You will always be missed at the channel. ♥️
