Age 94, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021. Betty was born in Grand Rapids, MI, on March 3, 1927, the daughter of Joseph and Florence (Quarry) Lewnfield. On December 30, 1948, she married George Merrill, who preceded her in death. She was a housewife her entire life and devoted to her family. Betty is survived by her children, Kathy Copeland of Desert Hot Springs, CA, Julia (James) Reslock of Kalamazoo, Kim Merrill of Kalamazoo, Lyn Johnson of Surprise, AZ, Christine Menzies of Sacramento, CA, Melissa Weston of Kalamazoo, Denise (Jim) Green of Kalamazoo; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a multitude of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Merrill; daughter, Holly Merrill; sons-in-law, Richard Johnson and Richard Weston; brothers, Rex Lewnfield, Jim Lenfield and Paul Lewnfield.
