A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at First Reformed Church of Portage, 7905 S. Westnedge Ave., Portage, MI 49002, beginning at 11:00 AM, Pastor Clayton Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park – South. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.

Age 86, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020. Betty was born in Watervliet, Michigan on February 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Harold and Florence (Morlock) Foster. On April 26, 1953, she was united in marriage to Joseph C. Snyder who preceded her in death on July 4, 2006. Betty was also preceded in death by her brothers, James and Donald Foster. Betty prided herself in being a homemaker and cherished taking care of her family. She especially loved spending time with and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty enjoyed watching cooking shows and hosting holiday gatherings. She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Doug) Bos and Patricia (Ray) Bowers; grandchildren, Kristen Gipson, Matt Bos, Kelsey (Mitchell) Rowe, Samantha (Bryce) Myers and Joseph Bowers; five great-grandchildren; nephew, Greg Shutes and special friends, Bonnie Wheeler, Mary Walker and Donna Daria.
