Age 65, passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital on Friday, December 2, 2022. Bruce was born in Hastings, Michigan on May 16, 1957, the son of the late Gerald L. and Vivian Y. (Blough) Knickerbocker. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment and continued to enjoy working on GM vehicles even after his retirement. Bruce loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed canoeing and camping. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Bruce was a generous man and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his wife, Vanessa R. (Doolittle) Knickerbocker; children, Kaylee (Jon Mckerchie) Knickerbocker, Kyle (Rachel) Knickerbocker and Kody Knickerbocker; grandchildren, Layla, Eli, Max, Ben and an expected baby girl arriving in March; step-children, Bill (Desiree) Solomon, Joshua Solomon, Holly (Joe) Cook and Nathan Solomon; two step-grandchildren with another on the way; step-siblings, Dottie Wilbur and Stan (Barb) Stevens and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his brothers, Dale and Mark Knickerbocker. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions in Bruce’s memory may be given to the American Heart Association.
