In accordance with his wish cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Tunnel to Towers Foundation c/o the funeral home.

Age 72, passed away at Rose Arbor on November 22, 2023. He was born in Kalamazoo on December 17, 1950, the son of the late Thomas and Wanda (Burnett) Wheatley. Bruce attended Portage High School and then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served our country until being honorably discharged. He enjoyed having time at home, playing music and talking with family and friends. He spent many enjoyable years living out West in Arizona and Nevada. He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Bruce (Denise) Wheatley Jr., Brian Wheatley; five grandchildren, Logan, Cole, Brooke, Adia and Adam Wheatley; a sister, Tommi Bennett (Ray); niece and nephew, Danna Tibbs and Dustin Tibbs. He was also preceded in passing by a sister, Kelly Miller.
