There will be a Memorial Service Saturday, November 2, 2019, at First Congregational Church, 345 W. Michigan at 4:00 p.m. There will be a reception prior to the service at 3:00 p.m. also at the church. Memorials may be made to Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, c/o the funeral home.

Age 57, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Carol was born on December 25, 1961, in Highland Park, MI, the daughter of William Irving and Jodie Mae Post. Carol was a massage therapist specializing in Swedish, deep tissue and Thai massage. After enjoying a successful massage therapy practice in Washington, D.C. for 16 years, she moved to Kalamazoo in 2006. Besides her passion for massage therapy, she enjoyed rescuing and restoring old homes. Carol is survived by her children, Carolina Deisy Avila of Silver Spring, MD, and Reina Isabel Roznowski of Kalamazoo; 1 grandchild; sisters, Nancy Post of Troy, MI and Jan Schwarz of Rohnert Park, CA; nieces and nephews; and her lifetime companion, Ralph Freed. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
