Age 93, went home to her Lord on August 6, 2019, her loving family at her side. She was born in Detroit, MI, on February 1, 1926, the daughter of the late Harold and Emma (Daniels) Weigold. On June 19, 1948, she married Rev. Richard R. Anderson who preceded her in passing in 2017. She was also preceded in passing by a sister, Grace Mataya. Carolyn was a kind, loving and generous woman. She had a passion for children which lead her to become a teacher. She retired from Alma Middle school after 25 years where she taught math and science. When not working she enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was an active member of the Episcopal Church. Carolyn’s warm smile and gentleness will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by six children, Neva (Teresa) Langwell, Janet (John) Tucker, Matthew (Nancy) Anderson, Michael Anderson, Paul (Rhonda) Anderson, Judy (Cliff) Sherwood; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family; siblings, Janet Howard and Judy Johnson.
