A service in witness to Carrie’s life and faith will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Second Christian Reformed Church, 3015 Nichols Rd., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Carrie will be laid to rest next to Roland at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Park Village Pines, Second Christian Reformed Church or Centrica Care Navigators (formerly Hospice of SW Michigan), in c/o the funeral home.

Dear sweet Aunt Carrie It’s hard putting into words what loosing another cherished part from our family tree feels like , but what I can put into words is how many wonderful memories I have of you and Uncle Rollie, all those New Year Days spent at your house, time at the lake, trips you took with mom and dad….. I didn’t visit you enough as time went on but when I did you always remembered who I was even when your memory was failing, you always gave me that smile and a big hug, you were always happy and I am so thankful that continued to shine in you. I’m sad for your kids , they’re going to miss their mom, their gramma, but I’m happy JESUS brought you home. I know you woke up in Heaven still smiling , Love Patti❤️
