Carolyn's smile was always a welcome sight on Sunday mornings. I will miss her warmth which I always felt when we greeted each other. It was a joy to have her amongst us. She will be missed. Carl Doubleday Organist Milwood United Methodist Church

Carolyn and I were nurses together at Borgess Hospital in the early 1970's. Those were the days we wore white uniforms (dresses), white hose with garter belt (before pantyhose), white shoes, and of course our nursing cap and pin from the school of nursing we graduated. We were young and could move quickly. Carolyn worked on orthopedics. Occasionally Dr. Stryker would make rounds and was particularly fussy about how a patient's traction was set up. We even had one of the first Stryker circle electric beds which the nurses learned to operate. Carolyn was an efficient, no-nonsense nurse but I remember her laugh and kind voice. At Milwood United Methodist Church Carolyn always greeted everyone with a smile especially looking out for our senior members.

To my dear Carolyn, you were so kind to my daughter, Jayme, and to my whole family. We all loved you so much. You were so giving and took care of others. To Jayme and Andy, I am so sorry for your loss of a wonderful mommas (as you and others called her)!! You both have had too many losses in the last year to endure. My heart goes out to you. I love you both!

So sorry about Carolyn’s passing. Thank you Andrew for calling me. I enjoyed our conversation about the cabin up north. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
