A private family graveside service will be held in the spring at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice, c/o the funeral home.

Age 90, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. Carolyn was born on June 13, 1929, in Benton Harbor, MI, the daughter of Garrett and Helen (Wolford) Snyder. She was married to Benjamin Sherman who preceded her in death in 2016. She worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Carolyn is survived by her children, Michael (Mary) Spencer, David Spencer and Kevin Spencer; step-daughters, Catherine (Erwin) Doublestein, Susan (Dennis) Derhammer, Bonnie Cleasby and Sandra (Robert) Young; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jack (Hazel) Snyder, Pat Morrison and Sharon (Don) Paulson; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Craig Spencer; a daughter-in-law, Martha Spencer; a son-in-law, John Cleasby; 2 brothers and a sister.
