I was one of her freshman writing students at Penn State, back in 1977. Her class was my first class on my first day of college . She liked my writing and was always encouraging to me. She took a lot of extra time when grading my assignments and giving feedback. She once said to me....... \"I see something in you.....you are so much more than you think . How fun it will be to discover who you are. I\'ll keep an eye out\". Needed encouragement for an uneasy student.......... and it came at just the right time. I was 17 when she told me that.....I\'m 63 now and I have never forgot it. I can only imagine the lives she changed. Sorry to hear of her passing, I know the sentiments are late, I only just saw this. I still think of what she told me 46 years ago. Now thats a teacher.

Anyone who knew Catherine Lynch-Sadler was blessed! Her quiet unassuming manner set an example for all…..She was truly a lady of grace. I met Cathy during her teaching years when our mothers became close friends and avid bridge partners. I will never forget our times together! I extended my deepest sympathy to her brother Gene and her sister Dorothy. Cathy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. With deepest sympathy, Jane Foster

We were lucky to have Cathy enter our lives when she married my father, David Sadler. She was a lot of fun and was especially good to our sons. She brightened all of our lives and we already miss her. Debbie Johnson

I met Cathy about twenty years ago because of our mutual interest in working for peace. She was such a lovely person, inside and out. I am sorry to hear she had to suffer with dementia. Condolences to her family.
