A private graveside committal service will take place at Grand Prairie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Reformed Church.

Age 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Celia was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on July 28, 1927, the daughter of the late Henry and Johanna (Triesenberg) Van Dyken. She was a long-time member of Hope Reformed Church, where she taught Sunday school. Celia was known as the “Sunday Lady” at Verdries Nursing Home, where she would visit residents on Sunday and bring them to the church services held there. She enjoyed traveling and visited many Great Lakes lighthouses with her husband and enjoyed camping during their retirement. Celia loved playing boardgames and making oatmeal for her grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and homemaker, and especially enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On September 28, 1946, Celia was united in marriage to Robert J. Nordin, who survives. She is also survived by her daughters, Linda (Kevin) McCall and Laura (Terry) Vlietstra; grandchildren, Erik (Katy) Poch, Heidi Little, Andy (Susie) Poch, Adam Poch (Sarah), Nate (Sarah) Vlietstra, Nick (Amber) Vlietstra and Melanie (Steve) Kilgore; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Poch; brothers, Sam (Agnes), Henry (Neatha) and Bill (Edith) Van Dyken and sister, Jenny (Dick) Stuut.
