Charles Edward Reynolds, age 87 passed away on June 2, 2023 at Rose Arbor in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born in Allegan, MI, on November 15, 1935, the son of the late L.D. and Pearl (Bassett) Reynolds. On September 14, 1957, he married the love of his life Anne Marie (Mizeur) Reynolds who preceded him in passing on March 10, 2023. Together they made their home in Portage and were always proud of their community. Charles worked hard to provide a happy home for his family. He retired from the James Rivers Company in 1991 after thirty-six years of service. When not working he enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was known to have a great sense of humor. He enjoyed playing penny poker, splitting wood and always found time for his special “fishing trips.” He loved to travel and enjoyed a twenty-fifth wedding anniversary in Hawaii. Above all Charles loved his family and was especially proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charles leaves behind memories of laughter and love and he will be missed by all who know him. He is survived by four children, Karan (Roger) Glasser, Sandra Smith, Thomas (Fabiana Brownell) Reynolds and John (Matthew Bitterling) Reynolds; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.  He was also preceded in passing by a daughter, Katherine (Don) Baldwin; three brothers, Merle, Floyd and Harold Reynolds.
