Chris Lee DeYoung was born April 11, 1943, to the late Christopher and Mary Jane (Verhulst) DeYoung.  Chris went to heaven on March 5, 2022, while at home and is now seeing Jesus face to face and so many others that he loved.  His days of suffering with Parkinson’s disease and dementia have ended.  He fought the good fight bravely and well. Chris had the reputation of being a hard worker and honest man. When not working at his painting trade, he enjoyed traveling and truly loved spending time with his family.  His smile and laughter made him a joy to know and he shared many friendships. Chris discovered a whole new wonderful joy when his grandchildren were born. He dedicated his life to his wife, children and grandchildren and leaves them with the legacy of a life well lived. On February 25, 1966, he married his loving wife of 56 years, Mary DeYoung who survives. He is also survived by three sons, Mark (Paula) DeYoung of Snoqualmie, WA, David DeYoung of Williamston, MI, and Paul (Joanna) DeYoung of Valley Park, MO, as well as grandchildren, Britney DeYoung, Abbigail DeYoung, Simeon DeYoung and Reuben DeYoung. He is also survived by his sister, Mary (Price) Parham of South Pasadena, FL; sister-in-law, Margaret (David) Rice; many nieces, nephews and beloved cousins.  He was also preceded in passing by a brother, Freddie DeYoung; in-laws, Helen (Victor) McNee and Albert Wendt; brother-in-law, James Wendt; sister-in-law, Barbara DeYoung-Sprau.
