Christine Ann Bell, 42, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13 at her residence in Galesburg, with her mother and brother, Daniel, at her side. Christine was lovingly cared for by Christine Decker of CD Mended Hearts. Christine was born in Sturgis, MI, the daughter of Richard Leolin Bell Jr., and Janet (Hackenberg) Davidson. She grew up in the Three Rivers and moved to Vicksburg in 1999. Christine had a rough start in life and shortly after birth was diagnosed as being severely mentally impaired besides having several health issues. Despite the predictions from the doctors that she would never walk she overcame adversity and proved them all wrong. Chrissy loved playing with purses, backpacks, her numerous stuffed toys and wearing goofy hats. She has an infectious laugh and was always up for a dance with the nearest person to her even if there was not any music playing. Some of her favorite stuffed toys were Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Pooh Bear, Tickle Me Elmo, Tweety Bird backpack, bouncing Tigger and Barney the purple dinosaur. She could listen to the toys talk for hours on end, which after a while could become annoying to the rest of the household. She also loved to walk around the house barking like a dog. Chrissy attended Pathfinders Center in Centreville, Croyden Avenue School and the Center for Disability Services in Kalamazoo. Christine is survived by her mother and father, sisters Angie (Bell) Young, Stephanie Dianth Bell, and Elizabeth Michelle Bell, and brothers Ray Bell, Charlie Bell, Jason Moyer, Daniel Bell and Jonathan Moyer. Surviving uncles include Joe (Vicki) Hackenberg and Ron (Pat) Bell. Surviving aunts include Marlene (Bell) Armstrong and Jane (Larry) Headley. There are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Christine is preceded in passing by her maternal and paternal grandparents and infant cousin Andrew Hackenberg.
